| I have not been listening to too much SC these past weeks.
In my playlist right now: --- Michele Rosewoman (pianist of cuban origin) " The Inside Out" with Mark Shim, and David Fuzynsky. Some very interesting odd meter music.
-- David Gilmore "Unified Presence" : i am really disappointed by this album though. way too straight ahead.
-- Matthew Shipp "One"
-- Vijay Iyer (definetely my farorite piano player)
-- Charlie Parker |

| I think the ftp is working.
Yesterday I listened to Council of Balance 16/07/99 Teatr Muzylzny, Gdynia, POLAND again – especially to the later part of the concert. I like the whole concert – many beautiful parts.
(Near to the end there is a very fast solo by Coleman in a “Bebop”-tune -I guess it is “Dizzy Atmosphere”) |

| Hi Harry!
Metrics: I really like: Steve Coleman and Metrics 07/09/02 Salle Charlie Parker, La Villette Jazz Festival, Paris available in the FTP
In one song of this concert Kokayi sings again and again about “motion, motion, motion …”. Sean Rickman’s beats seam to explode … I really like that.
I listened to: Steve Coleman and Five Elements 16/10/02 L'Aéronef, Lille - France available in the FTP
Dim noted in the archives: “Very good concert!” – Yeah, I agree. |

| Yeah! Black Phonemics! I begin to listen at track 10 „Black Phonemics (Reprise)“ and I wonder: How is it possible to play such a Rhythm? When I hear track 6 “Black Phonemics” I think: The rhythm-section is like a trampoline and Coleman is jumping on that trampoline. Great. I also like the solos of guitar and piano: very swinging.
Scott (Freewheelin’) would be the right man to say more about this CD – but I think he is sleeping. Hey Scott, wake up a bit! |

| “Genesis”: Good idea! I didn’t listen to it since a rather long time.
Now I listen to: “Genesis” Great!!! (Take 5 has always given me the heebie-jeebies – really “bad”.) “Genesis” is really like I feel what is happening on earth – happing in life as a whole - a really wild thing! Somebody said: earth is a cruel paradise. Thanks for the hint! |

| Now I listen to: John Coltrane „Village Vanguard Recordings” (1961), 1st and 4th CD. I especially like “Impressions” and “Spiritual”.
Somebody else listening to something? |
