Im glad to say that the new FTP server is open today. cheers

Im now aiming at adding some new videos and music soon.

I must thank the people who sent me emails with kind words or even money Very Happy

and I hope the FTP is back for a long time.

so far so good with very good download rates especially for europeans.
I'll be curious to know how it goes for US/South america/Asia and africa.

The best download bandwith so far has been 7,5 Mbits/sec and an average of around 2 Mbits/sec since the re opening a couple days ago.

I've noticed the best bandwith is from 10pm GMT until 8am GMT, which is night time european time.

at this time, i get an average donwload rate of 125ko/s
i think it's good though because i'm downloading day time

The fact is that you should get an average download rate between 100 ko/sec and 250 ko/sec if you are from Europe.

The good news is that even if there is more than 1 people downloading the rates should stay high.
But if you download many files ath the same time you will divide your overall ratio by the number of files you are actually downloading.

I'm curious to know what rates the US have ?

In the old server which was hosted at my home, the download rates was 60ko/sec to be equally shared among everyone, so usually around 20 Ko/sec.

the new one is a huge improvement I think and that's why I decided to go this way.
