| wow a steve coleman forum
i am listening to steve coleman for years, i listen lots of kinds of different music but still i go all around and come back to sc recordings. and whenever i listen to sc i find different things, like i hear them different, it is some kind of an experience i gain everytime. to me,unlike other forms of sounds steve has infinity in his songs, like it is a 3 minute song, u listen to it, when u re-listen it somehow continues which makes the song 6 mins for me, and then 9 and so on.. if you are downloading steve from e-donkey networks (i buy every coleman cd that i can find in stores, yet they are rare...), you probably should have seen my files. i edited steve's songs and come up with rhythm loops and shared it on edonkey network (file has the signature swunk on it, i named it steve coleman loops,a playalong )
I would like to ask to you people, -thanx to this forum cause i dont have any friends who listen to steve- do you know some other projects, bands, ideas that i can find interesting given that i loooove steve's work very much? i find cosmic dapp theory interesting, lonnie plaxico (it is kinda fusion, funk yet interesting) and also uri caine... i need some advise, new stuff |

| David Gilmore (more "ritualism" than "unified presence")
Ravi Coltrane (particularly "mad 6")
Vijay Iyer (both with his group and with Fiedwork: by the way FieldWork drummer is Tyshawn Sorey current SC drummer)
Greg Osby (from "art forum" to "zero" at least)
