PostSubject: DVD "elements of one"   Tue 19 Sep à 8:49

Hi at all!

I found this archive yesterday an have to say: whoooowwww! Shocked
I am an Steve Coleman-fan since 20 years... .

My 2 first questions, maybe someone can help:

First: confused
I have seen, that there was producesd the Steve Coleman DVD called "elements of one".
In the USA it can be purchased. Because I live in Germany and have no paypal ore Visa card, I ask me, how to get the DVD.
Is there a possibility to buy it in Europe?

Second: confused confused
I have problems with the download of the files... :-(
It is very slow and I cannot open the alternate ftp-server ... .

I read that there is a possibility to get the videos ore musik burned on a dvd. How does this work? Is anybody here in Germany ore Europe who would burn the archiv an send it by post?

Because I am totally new here I dont know, how such a "deal" will work.
Could anybody tell me, how it it functions?

Thank you very much
+ sorry for my "school-Englisch"

greeting to all Very Happy
Bernd

Now during daytime the alternate ftp server should work. Try again and let me know

Hi,

I get no connection to the ftp-server... . Sad (I am using the link here in the forum and my ftp-program "Wise-FTP")
With both no success. What's going wrong?

I understand the problem: try using crypta.dyndns.org as host name.
For Dimitri:
please update host name on the topic with the alternate ftp parameters

I was successful now to come in the alternate FTP-server by using Filezilla. cheers
But: I get 5k per second there! And the server of dimitri brings 27k per second! Is this normal?
When is the best time to download? What would you say?
I have DSL1000 ....

Maybe I left a net limiter set, I'll check when I'll go back home.
There is no best time to download. Server will be open mostly during daytime but you should encounter concurrent downloads and my bandwith is merely 256Kb/s.
However for further discussion about ftp, I suggest to write a new topic.

27Ko/sec is the max you can have on my server, actually it is 29 but...

It might be slow but I think it is still worth the time waiting.
You could think about a night to dowload a concert video.

Dim.
